IOCGCu-Au
- Type
- IOCG (Cu-Au) in a shear zone
Neoarchean IOCG deposit of the Carajás Province (see also the Carajás entry); main mineralization around 2.55 Ga within Fe-K then chlorite alteration halos. Gneisses, granitoids and volcano-sedimentary units sheared along the Cinzento Shear Zone; massive copper-gold mineralization dated at 2576 ± 8 Ma (Re-Os on molybdenite), where Fe-K alteration and tourmaline intensify. Melo et al. (2021): tourmaline cores from +14.9 to +17.0 ‰, rims from +3.4 to +8.2 ‰.
