Yashan (Yichun Ta-Nb-Li deposit)
Western Jiangxi, Yichun, China
Magmatic (Ni-Cu-PGE, carbonatites)Ta-Nb (Li)
- Type
- Topaz-lepidolite rare-metal granite
Yashan pluton (Yichun granites), a lithium- and fluorine-rich rare-metal granite whose Li-mica and topaz-lepidolite units host the Ta-Nb-Li mineralisation. Although lithium rises from 89 to 8080 µg/g, whole-rock δ7Li stays between -1.5 and +1.5 ‰: closed-system magmatic differentiation barely fractionates lithium.
