Magmatic (Ni-Cu-PGE, carbonatites)Li-Rb

Type
Spodumene pegmatite (Li-Rb)

World-class lithium pegmatite (3.45 Mt Li2O) of the Tianshuihai terrane, zoned into fine albite, blocky feldspar, quartz-muscovite and spodumene-quartz zones. Medium to low temperature and salinity fluids trapped at 3.0 to 3.75 kbar (9 to 11 km); boiling and CO2 degassing would have triggered spodumene deposition. Homogeneous quartz oxygen points to fluids from the pegmatitic magma without external input. Indicative coordinates.
