SEDEXZn-Pb-S (pyrite)
- Type
- Black shale-hosted stratiform Zn-Pb-pyrite (SEDEX)
Pb-Zn-S deposit of the northern margin of the North China Platform, in carbonaceous black shales and dolostones of the Mesoproterozoic Zhaertaishan Group, 4 km long, 67 orebodies (sulfur 23 %, zinc 4 %, lead 1.4 %). Two leads: unradiogenic (group A) in fine bedded and disseminated sulfides, derived from the old basement, and radiogenic (group B) in late coarse vein sulfides, influenced by the Hercynian granite to the north. Estimated coordinates (about 85 km from Bayan Obo according to Mindat). Indicative coordinates.
