Happy Jack Mine (White Canyon)
Utah, San Juan County, White Canyon district, United States
UraniumU (Cu)
- Type
- Tabular sandstone-hosted uranium (Colorado Plateau)
Tabular deposit in the fossil-wood-bearing Mesozoic fluvial sediments of the Colorado Plateau (three events: Late Triassic-Early Jurassic, Late Jurassic, Early Cretaceous); uraninite unusually REE-rich (about 0.5 %) for a low-temperature deposit. Uraninite 87Sr/86Sr measured by Balboni et al. (2016) for nuclear forensics: low ratios (below 0.7200) in low-temperature sandstone deposits, high in pegmatites, veins and breccia pipes. Indicative coordinates (White Canyon district, Fry Canyon area).
87Sr/86Sr isotope ratio, no unit Values of the same system
Standard : NIST SRM 987
| Value | Range | n | Mineral or matrix | Source |
