Billiken Lode (Critchell area)
Colorado, Jefferson County (Front Range), United States
UraniumU
- Type
- Uranium veins in Precambrian metasediments
Uranium veins in folded and faulted Precambrian metasediments, ore dated at 69 ± 1.1 Ma (U-Pb, Laramide). Uraninite 87Sr/86Sr measured by Balboni et al. (2016) for nuclear forensics: low ratios (below 0.7200) in low-temperature sandstone deposits, high in pegmatites, veins and breccia pipes. Coordinates from the MRDS record of the Black Knight mine (Billikins lodes), likely but unconfirmed match.
