Carex and Phragmites fen whose peat goes back to about 9900 BC, about 20 km north-east of Olkusz, in the Zn-Pb mining district of Olkusz and the Bolesław smelter. 110 cm profile dated by 210Pb and 14C: Tl immobile in the peat, like Pb, whereas Zn migrates. The ε205Tl of the years 1971 to 2004 (-3.57 to -2.30) trend towards the Olkusz ZnS concentrates (-4.40) and smelter wastes, those of the old peat (about 300 BC) towards the substrate; 206Pb/207Pb lowered below 16 cm by local mining lead (galena 1.173, ash 1.174). Published GPS coordinates (Vaněk et al., 2021).
