Pit under the forest next to the meadow. Erzmatt soils (Buus, Swiss Jura), formed on Triassic dolomite with a weathered hydrothermal Tl-As-Fe mineralisation, very rich in geogenic Tl. In both profiles, ε205Tl rises from the C horizons (+2.6 and +0.8) and the bedrock (+1.56) to +8.7 in the Bw horizons, then falls to about +2.5 in the O horizons: according to the authors, repeated redox cycles (oxidative sorption on Mn oxides, weathering of Tl(III) phases, remobilisation of heavy Tl(I) then fixed by illite) and, at the surface, uptake of light Tl by plants; exchangeable Tl of the B horizons is lighter than total Tl (+3.18 to +4.86 in the Bw horizons, Table S6) (Vaněk et al., 2020). Soil classified as Eutric Hyperskeletic Cambisol (WRB). Published GPS coordinates (Fig. S1: N 47.505781, E 7.852798).
