Type
Stibnite hosted by marine carbonates (Upper Sinian)

Largest antimony deposit of Hubei (383,400 t at 3.78 % Sb), in marine carbonates of the Doushantuo and Dengying formations (Upper Sinian); orebodies controlled by the F1 normal fault, stibnite with calcite and quartz. Shen et al. (2011): pre-mineralisation calcite at 0.7096-0.7097 (Sinian seawater, Sr from 2645 to 8174 ppm), syn-mineralisation calcite more radiogenic (0.7109 to 0.7154, Sr from 785 to 2563 ppm); stibnite in two Pb groups: radiogenic group A (206Pb/204Pb 18.874 to 19.288, negative model ages) drawn from the Sinian carbonates, less radiogenic group B (17.882 to 18.171, model ages from 392 to 636 Ma) drawn from the Mesoproterozoic Lengjiaxi Group basement: epigenetic rather than reworked sedimentary deposit. Coordinates: centre of the published frame (29°46'42"-29°47'15" N, 114°36'43"-114°37'23" E).
