Banxi (antimony)

Taojiang County, Yiyang, Hunan, China

Other hydrothermalSb

Type
Low-temperature stibnite veins in the Neoproterozoic basement

Vein antimony deposit (150,000 t Sb) in Neoproterozoic slates and tuffs on the margin of the Xiangzhong basin. Stibnite deposition attributed to fluid-rock interaction and pH increase. South China antimony belt (Xiangzhong basin), low-temperature hydrothermal domain (about 140 to 250 °C). Coordinates estimated within Taojiang County. Indicative coordinates.
