- Type
- Granite-related scheelite-quartz veins
Scheelite deposit (38,663 t WO3 at 0.70 %) in quartz veins within the Devonian biotite monzogranite (406.6 ± 2.8 Ma) of the northern Baimashan batholith and the surrounding slate; coeval cassiterite (409.8 Ma) and molybdenite (404.2 Ma). Magmatic-hydrothermal fluid of fairly high pH, reduced and calcium-rich, hence scheelite rather than wolframite. Estimated coordinates. Indicative coordinates.
δ18O in ‰ (per mil) Values of the same system
Standard : V-SMOW
| Value | Range | n | Mineral or matrix | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 13 ‰ | 1 | stage I quartz (muscovite-scheelite vein in the granite) One analysis, electronic supplementary Table 5. Calculated fluid at 3.4 ‰ at 237 °C (Clayton et al., 1972). | Xie et al. (2019), Granite-related Yangjiashan tungsten deposit, southern China, Minerali… | |
| 12.2 ± 0.6 ‰ | 11.2 / 12.7 ‰ | 7 | stage II scheelite vein quartz Mean and standard deviation recalculated from 7 samples, electronic supplementary Table 5. Calculated fluid from -1.2 to 3.1 ‰ (171 to 255 °C): magmatic water mixed with meteoric water. The text gives 11.8 to 12.7 ‰, but the supplement goes down to 11.2 ‰ (YJS 55): computed on the supplement. | Xie et al. δD in ‰ (per mil) Values of the same system
Standard : V-SMOW
| Value | Range | n | Mineral or matrix | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| −87 ‰ | 1 | fluid inclusion water in stage I quartz One analysis, electronic supplementary Table 5. | Xie et al. (2019), Granite-related Yangjiashan tungsten deposit, southern China, Minerali… | |
| −73 ± 5 ‰ | −85 / −68 ‰ | 7 | fluid inclusion water in stage II quartz Mean and standard deviation recalculated from 7 samples, electronic supplementary Table 5. The low value (-85 ‰, YJS 36) comes from the slate-hosted vein that also gives the lightest fluid. | Xie et al. (2019), Granite-related Yangjiashan tungsten deposit, southern China, Minerali… |

Stage I: -1.0 and -1.5 ‰ (the text mentions three grains, the supplement gives two). Magmatic sulfur. The methods announce 20 analysed sulfides, the supplement gives 16. | Xie et al. (2019), Granite-related Yangjiashan tungsten deposit, southern China, Minerali… |
| −2.2 ± 0.6 ‰ | −2.9 / −1.4 ‰ | 4 | chalcopyrite (stage II) Mean and standard deviation recalculated from 4 samples, electronic supplementary Table 6. | Xie et al. (2019), Granite-related Yangjiashan tungsten deposit, southern China, Minerali… |
