Xiuwacu
Shangri-La (Zhongdian), north-western Yunnan, southern Yidun terrane, China
Other hydrothermalW-Mo
- Type
- Granite-related scheelite-molybdenite quartz veins
9.16 Mt at 0.26 % WO3 and 0.27 % Mo, in the Xiuwacu complex (Late Triassic biotite granite, Late Cretaceous porphyritic monzogranite, 88-73 Ma); molybdenite dated at 80-86 Ma (Re-Os). Three stages: fluorite-quartz, scheelite-quartz, calcite-quartz. Scheelite precipitated by cooling and calcium input. Coordinates of Shangri-La city. Indicative coordinates.
