High-grade hematite ores from the western part of the Iron Quadrangle, metamorphosed under greenschist facies. The Itabira district mines (Cauê, Conceição, Dois Córregos) are attached to it as in the article, together with Fazenda Alegria, whose field position remains uncertain but whose isotopes place it with the west.
