UraniumU (Cu, Fe)
- Type
- Uranium (Cu-Fe) in sheared volcano-sedimentary rocks, IOCG-related
India's oldest and most productive uranium mine, in altered, sheared and metamorphosed Proterozoic volcano-sedimentary rocks; abundant tourmaline (locally over 50 vol%) associated with U and Cu. Pal et al. (2010): δ11B from -6.8 to +17.2 ‰ (mean +5.7 ± 3.7 ‰, n = 66); heavy early tourmaline (fluid +4 to +20 ‰ for 300 to 450 °C, marine brine or evaporite), lighter syn-kinematic tourmaline (fluid -4.8 to +6 ‰); deposit classed as an IOCG variant. Indicative coordinates, not published in the article.

| 2.3 / 17.2 ‰ | 44 | early pre-kinematic tourmaline, all host rocks (tourmaline 1) Published range; mean of +5.7 ‰ for tourmaline 1 of the ore zone. In the U-Cu zone, by host rock: biotite schist -6.8 to +17.2 ‰, quartz-sulphide vein -5.8 to +7.1 ‰, chlorite schist +1.5 to +10.9 ‰, all generations combined. | Pal et al. (2010), Chemical and boron isotope compositions of tourmaline from the Jadugud… | |
| −6.8 / 4 ‰ | 7 | syn-kinematic tourmaline of the U-Cu zone (tourmaline 2) Published range; always lighter than tourmaline 1 in the same grain. | Pal et al. (2010), Chemical and boron isotope compositions of tourmaline from the Jadugud… | |
| 4 / 11.1 ‰ | 5 | post-kinematic radial tourmaline of biotite schist (tourmaline 3) Published range, identical to that of tourmaline 1 in the same sample. | Pal et al. (2010), Chemical and boron isotope compositions of tourmaline from the Jadugud… |
