Volcanogenic massive sulfidesZn-Pb-Cu (Ba)
- Type
- Kuroko-type volcanogenic massive sulfide
Kuroko-type massive sulfide deposit of the Hokuroku district, the type locality (Miocene). The ferruginous cherts (tetsusekiei) overlying the ores have widely scattered δ56Fe (-1.75 to +2.00 ‰ across the district), reflecting partial oxidation of hydrothermal iron in anoxic or suboxic pools; post-Kuroko ferruginous sediments range from -1.75 to +0.69 ‰, the youngest from -0.52 to +0.11 ‰. Ferruginous cherts with the highest δ56Fe of the district (up to +2.00 ‰). Indicative coordinates.
