- Type
- Polymetallic carbonate replacement and supergene nonsulfide zinc deposits
Hypogene Fe-Zn-Pb-Cu-Ag sulfides and sulfosalts (about 200 °C) replacing Lower Cretaceous carbonates, oxidised into nonsulfide deposits: the White Zinc Zone (smithsonite) and the Red Zinc Zone (hemimorphite in iron oxides), and a silver-rich lead carbonate manto. Smithsonite formed at about 26 to 35 °C; supergene mobilisation ended with Holocene aridification. Indicative coordinates.
