Carbonate replacementPb-Zn
- Type
- Carbonate replacement (dolomitised and silicified marbles)
Large Pb-Zn deposit (131 Mt at 3.95 % Pb + Zn) of the Central Tianshan terrane, in marbles and silicified rocks of the Mesoproterozoic Kawabulake Group, in four ore zones; main stage at about 337 Ma, between 240 and 357 °C. Sphalerite δ66Zn and Zn/Cd ratio vary together from one zone to another: initial fluid at about -0.2 ‰, zinc remobilised from the Precambrian basement, Rayleigh fractionation along fluid pathways. Longitude read on the map of the publication, latitude estimated.
