Gardon catchment, a former mining district (Pb-Zn, pyrite, Sb, coal) now industrialised; δ66Zn narrow in sediments, poorly discriminating between mining sources, but sediments of acid-drainage tributaries are lighter (about +0.07 ‰) than the local ore (+0.18 ‰, unpublished) (Resongles et al., 2014). Tributaries draining Pb-Zn mines: Avène (AF6, Pb-Zn and pyrite mines and industry), Amous (AF9, Carnoulès mine, acid drainage) and Aiguesmortes (AF10, Saint-Félix-de-Pallières district).
