Rhine at Bingen
Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany
Rivers and surface water
- Type
- River or surface water
River studied by Nielsen et al. (2005) for dissolved Tl, value taken from Table 13.3 of Nielsen and Rehkämper (2012). The riverine mean (-2.5 ± 1.0) is close to the continental crust (-2.0): continental weathering fractionates Tl little; the lightest rivers (Danube, Rhine at Rueun, Doubs, Eder: -6.7 to -4.2) are ascribed to marine carbonates in their catchments. Indicative coordinates (Bingen town).
