Cuzco region, Andahuaylas-Yauri belt, Peru

OtherZn (Pb)

Type
Supergene non-sulfide sauconite deposit

Prospect where polymetallic sulfides related to the Andahuaylas-Yauri batholith (48 to 32 Ma) are fully weathered; zinc precipitated as sauconite in siliciclastic conglomerates. δ66Zn decreases from the core of the body to its margins and southward at depth, as predicted by Rayleigh distillation. Indicative coordinates.
