SEDEXS-Zn-Pb-Cu
- Type
- Proterozoic stratiform exhalative Pb-Zn-Cu-S (SEDEX)
Westernmost deposit of the Langshan district, in carbonaceous schists and dolostones of the Proterozoic Zhaertai Group, metamorphosed to greenschist facies. Bedded and lenticular orebodies (main orebody no. 3); fluid inclusions with NaCl crystals, mean salinity 26 wt%. Lead model ages 1.92 to 2.07 Ga. Sulfur of sulfides (29 to 38.5 ‰) and sulfates attributed to seawater sulfate reduced in a closed basin. Deposit not located: the place cited in the source could not be tied to reliable coordinates.
