Volcanogenic massive sulfidesCu-Zn-Ag

Type
Besshi-type massive sulfides (Cu-Zn) in metasediments

Cu-Zn-Ag deposit of Devonian (?) age in a dominantly clastic metasedimentary terrane, metamorphosed to amphibolite facies. Palmer and Slack (1989, Table 1): tourmaline at -14.17 and -13.05 ‰. Tourmalines of this kind of terrane range from -15.37 to -2.19 ‰ in the article; according to the authors, the boron source (continental crust, entrained seawater, evaporites) matters more than the formation temperature. Indicative coordinates, not published in the article.
