Mississippi Valley TypeZn-Pb (Ge, Cd)
- Type
- Carbonate-hosted Zn-Pb (Huize or Qilingchang type, MVT-like)
High-grade germanium-bearing Zn-Pb deposit in Carboniferous dolomites of the Baizuo Formation, whose MVT affinity is debated. Cadmium-poor sphalerite (below 1500 ppm), with δ114/110Cd varying with 1/Cd; galena there is exceptionally light in cadmium. Indicative coordinates.
