Shaojiwan
North-western Guizhou, Yadu-Mangdong fault (Sichuan-Yunnan-Guizhou province), China
Mississippi Valley TypeZn-Pb
- Type
- Thrust-controlled Zn-Pb hosted in Devonian and Permian carbonates
Deposit of about 0.5 Mt metal (0.71 to 10.56 % Pb, 2.09 to 30.27 % Zn) as breccias, veinlets and disseminations in dolomitised limestones, about 50 km from Tianqiao on the same structure. Sulfur from reduction of host evaporitic sulfate, lead mostly from the Proterozoic basement, strontium mixed between basement and cover: fluid mixing. Indicative coordinates.
