Type
Mississippi Valley-type (MVT)

Zn-Pb prospect with black and reddish-brown sphalerite in Pucará Group carbonates, about 16 km south-south-east of Pedro Ruiz. Sulfur derives from thermochemical reduction of dissolved sulfate (Cretaceous seawater, evaporites of the Chambará-Condorsinga or Sarayaquillo formations). Heavy, clustered values, close to the source sulfate. Indicative coordinates.
