- Pb-Zn veins and replacements in Carboniferous limestones, oxidised to calamine
Old lead and calamine deposits in the Carboniferous limestones of the Mendips, with barite; smithsonite in several generations, replacing sulfides then filling voids. Sulfide oxidation at about 15 to 20 °C, under a climate warmer than today (Boni et al., 2019). Indicative coordinates.
