Other hydrothermalAg, Pb, Zn (Sn)

Type
Ag-Pb-Zn veins in slate, next to a Sn (Cu, Mo) mineralised porphyry

4.81 Mt at 157.4 g/t Ag and 3.94 % Pb + Zn, silver grades up to 3000 g/t. Veins controlled by NW faults in slate and siltstone of the Permian Zhesi Formation, cut by a gabbro (133.2 ± 0.9 Ma), a quartz porphyry (140.2 ± 1.2 Ma) and dykes of 129.6 to 130.5 Ma (zircon U-Pb, Wang, 2014). Four sequences: arsenopyrite-pyrite-quartz, main sulfides, silver sulfosalts (dominant freibergite) and boulangerite-calcite, then supergene oxidation. Zhai et al. (2019): magmatic sulfur and lead, linked to the local granitic intrusion; silver deposited through cooling and decreasing fO2 and fS2. Indicative coordinates: deposit position from its Mindat entry (43°31′25″ N, 118°03′45″ E), not published in the paper.
