- Type
- Stibnite veins and bodies in Devonian strata
Large antimony deposit between the Hunan-Guizhou mercury belt and the Danchi polymetallic belt (Guangxi); simple stibnite ore with minor pyrite; nearly a century of mining, waste rocks and tailings releasing very Sb-rich waters (up to 1427 µg/L). Stibnite δ34S of +3.39 to +6.90 ‰ (mean +5.19), used as the mine sulfur signature; pyrite -7.79 to +25.10 ‰ (Ning et al., 2011, after two earlier studies). Coordinates: centre of the 107°30'-107°45' E, 25°40'-25°50' N frame.
