Black smokers (360 °C) and white smokers (290 °C) of the active mound; temperatures from Edmond et al. (1995). The more acidic white smokers carry zinc remobilised from earlier sulphides, with no clear isotopic offset from the black smokers according to John et al. (2008). Indicative coordinates.
