- Quartz-wolframite veins related to a rare-metal granite
The largest wolframite vein deposit of the Nanling region (over 700 veins), related to the Jurassic Xihuashan granite (about 160 Ma). δ7Li increases from biotite to muscovite granite through diffusion during fluid-rock interaction, and greisens have negative δ7Li, a sign of intense open-system fluid-rock interaction. Tungsten mineralisation is linked to this open hydrothermal process.
