Maoping (tungsten, Jiangxi)
Chongyi County, Ganzhou, southern Jiangxi (Gannan belt), China
Other hydrothermalW-Sn
- Type
- Granite-related wolframite-quartz veins and greisen
One of the largest deposits of the Chongyi-Shangyou-Dayu district: wolframite-quartz veins (63,000 t WO3 and 15,000 t Sn) and greisens (40,000 t WO3), in Cambrian sandstones and slates above a concealed granite. Vertical zonation in five levels ("five-floor" model). Wolframite deposited by simple cooling of an early hot magmatic fluid, quartz by later pulses; meteoric water only in the upper level. Coordinates estimated within Chongyi County. Indicative coordinates.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| −68 ± 12 ‰ | −83 / −43 ‰ | 8 | fluid inclusion water in quartz (zones I, III, IV and V) Mean and standard deviation recalculated from 8 samples, Table 2. Column headed mineral δD in the table, but the text states it is water extracted from the inclusions. | Chen et al. (2018), The link between fluid evolution and vertical zonation at the Maoping… |
| −57 ± 7 ‰ | −64 / −45 ‰ | 8 | fluid inclusion water in wolframite (zones III to V) Mean and standard deviation recalculated from 8 samples, Table 2. Column headed mineral δD in the table, but the text states it is water extracted from the inclusions. The text gives -63 to -49 ‰, the table -64 to -45 ‰: computed on the table. | Chen et al.
