Tapeh Sorkh

Sanandaj-Sirjan zone, Iran

Mississippi Valley TypePb-Zn

Type
Fault-fill Pb-Zn in Lower Cretaceous carbonates (MVT or exhalative)

Fill of faults and fractures in Lower Cretaceous carbonates, MVT or exhalative type according to the authors; mined. Lead of Sanandaj-Sirjan zone deposits poorly radiogenic and clustered (206Pb/204Pb from 18.39 to 18.47), distinct from the Urumieh-Dokhtar zone: the structural domain controls the signature more than the host rock or ore type (Mirnejad et al., 2011). Coordinates not given.
