Orogenic goldAu
- Type
- Orogenic gold in quartz-tourmaline veins
Gold prospect in shear zones cutting intermediate to mafic metavolcanic rocks (lower amphibolite facies), narrow zones up to 35.5 g/t over 1 m; gold mainly in quartz-tourmaline veins, mineralization or remobilization around 1830 to 1800 Ma. Talikka and Vuori (2010): arsenopyrite-bearing tourmaline from -13.5 to -9.4 ‰.
