Volcanogenic massive sulfidesCu-Zn-Pb-Au-Ag (pyrite)
- Type
- Volcanogenic massive sulfide
Volcanogenic massive sulfide body of the Iberian Pyrite Belt, hosted by the volcano-sedimentary complex (Late Devonian to Visean). Its lead is very homogeneous over 250 km and close to that of the host acid lavas (Marcoux, 1998). The largest massive sulfide district of the belt, worked since the Chalcolithic (corta Dehesa, San Dionisio orebody, Cerro Colorado). Indicative coordinates.
