Volcanogenic massive sulfidesCu-Zn

Type
Metamorphosed volcanogenic massive sulfides

Cu-Zn deposit of Early Proterozoic age in a dominantly metavolcanic terrane, metamorphosed to granulite facies. Palmer and Slack (1989, Table 2): tourmaline at -10.62 and -9.39 ‰. Tourmalines of this kind of terrane range from -15.71 to -1.49 ‰ in the article; according to the authors, the boron source (continental crust, entrained seawater, evaporites) matters more than the formation temperature.
