Epithermal depositsAg-Sb

Type
Epithermal silver-antimony in cryptocrystalline quartz veins

Silver-antimony occurrence of the Adycha-Taryn zone (Late Cretaceous, around the Taryn dacite subvolcano): sulfide-poor cryptocrystalline or fine-grained quartz veins with freibergite, silver sulfosalts, gudmundite and berthierite, often superimposed on gold or tin-tungsten deposits; arsenopyrite with 1.6-2.3 % Sb. Gamyanin et al. (2018): quartz from -3.2 to +4.7 ‰ (fluid from -13.6 to -7.3 ‰ at 220 °C), calcite from -11.6 to -11.1 ‰ in δ13C, stibnite from -5.7 to -5.6 ‰: dominant meteoric water. Occurrence values: fine-grained quartz +2.9 ‰; fine-grained quartz +0.1 and +0.3 ‰. Coordinates not published (schematic map only).
