Other hydrothermalAu (As, Tl, Hg, Sb)
- Type
- Carlin-type gold along the Getchell fault
Deposit first mined in pits along the Getchell fault, then underground in its footwall, next to Turquoise Ridge (Chevillon et al., 2000); late collapse stage of the hydrothermal system with realgar, orpiment, Tl-bearing galkhaite and calcite, with minor gold. Late realgar lighter (-2.11) than the main-stage pyrite of Turquoise Ridge, which could reflect a shift from a magmatic or metamorphic fluid to a meteoric one (Wickham, 2014). Getchell mine coordinates after Mindat.
