Type
Scheelite skarn (scheelite type, ilmenite series)

Scheelite skarn in nearly pure limestone lenses of the Triassic Kuga group sediments, in the aureole of an Upper Cretaceous granodiorite to monzogranite batholith; Akemidani orebodies 100 to 300 m above the contact. Ore poor in ferric iron and sulfur, nearly Mo-free scheelite: reducing conditions linked to an ilmenite-series magma. Formed at about 390 ± 60 °C (sphalerite-galena) and about 1 kb. Coordinates estimated within the Kuga district. Indicative coordinates.
