Xinchang-Yongjia silver belt (Haoshi, Bamao, Dalingkou, Wubu)
Eastern Zhejiang, Mesozoic volcanic terrain, China
Epithermal depositsAg (Pb-Zn)
- Type
- Meso-epithermal Ag (Pb-Zn) vein deposits in volcanic rocks
North-south belt of more than 30 silver (Pb-Zn) deposits and occurrences in Late Jurassic to Early Cretaceous acid volcanic rocks (110 to 130 Ma). Mineralisation at 70 to 100 Ma, 30 to 40 Myr after volcanism, between 300 and 70 °C, from heated Mesozoic meteoric waters that leached silver, lead, zinc and sulfur from the consolidated volcanic rocks. Total fluid sulfur estimated at about +5 ‰. Isotope values read from the text, without a data table. Indicative coordinates.
