North Khentii Gold Belt (Khentii basin, Mongol-Okhotsk orogenic belt), Haraa terrane: Haraa Group metasediments (Middle Cambrian to Early Ordovician) cut by the Boroogol granitoid complex (Ordovician) and the Dzuunmod rhyolitic subvolcanic complex; sericitic, siliceous and potassic alteration, pyrite and arsenopyrite with invisible gold, late native gold. Fluid calculated at 275 °C (arsenopyrite geothermometer) at δ18O +6.3 to +9.3 ‰, of metamorphic origin; heterogeneous sulphur source, wall-rock sulphidation according to Kim et al. (2020). Largest deposit of the district, open-pit mined from 2004 to 2010 (over 50 t gold), controlled by the Boroo thrust (Yeroogol system) between the Haraa Group and the Boroogol complex; mineralisation ages of 208.3 ± 1.9 to 186.2 ± 1.6 Ma (Cluer et al., 2005).
