Ancient lead-silver mining centre of the Taurus, where the ore contains stannite; Powell et al. (2022) place there the smelting and lead addition of part of the Uluburun shipwreck tin ingots, and suggest the Maden stream alluvium as a source of light secondary tin. Indicative coordinates.
