Carboniferous-Permian coal measures of the North China platform, deposited on coastal plains and in lacustrine swamps; coals average 9.4 µg/g Ga, clayey roofs and floors (kaolinite, illite, montmorillonite) 30.2 µg/g. Coal gallium limited by organic matter, mudstone gallium fixed by clays; coal δ71Ga increasing with depth (Wang et al., 2026). Indicative coordinates (approximate centre of the coalfield, between Huainan and Huaibei).
