Orogenic goldAu
- Type
- Sediment-hosted gold (ankerite phyllites) along a shear zone
Giant gold deposit in spotted-ankerite silty phyllites of the Upper Devonian Xinghongpu Formation, within the Baguamiao-Shuangwang ductile-brittle shear zone. Authors' model: Devonian hydrothermal sedimentation reworked by Indosinian and Yanshanian magmatic fluids; gold concentrates in quartz veins of late NE-trending joints. Coordinates of Feng County. Indicative coordinates.
