Ahangaran

Sanandaj-Sirjan zone, Iran

SEDEXPb-Zn

Type
Exhalative Pb-Zn (Ag) in Lower Cretaceous carbonates

Massive and veinlet sulphides in faults and fractures of Lower Cretaceous carbonates, exhalative type according to Momenzadeh (1976) and Zamanian (1993); mined. Lead of Sanandaj-Sirjan zone deposits poorly radiogenic and clustered (206Pb/204Pb from 18.39 to 18.47), distinct from the Urumieh-Dokhtar zone: the structural domain controls the signature more than the host rock or ore type (Mirnejad et al., 2011). Coordinates not given.
