IsoFind is built on the principle of digital sovereignty: your scientific data belongs entirely to you, and the software has no technical means of accessing it. By using IsoFind, you agree to terms that protect your operational independence as much as the Publisher's rights.
The use of IsoFind software, regardless of the version (Research or Pro), implies unreserved acceptance of these Terms of Service. These conditions apply to any physical or legal person using the software on their own equipment.
The Publisher reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Users are encouraged to consult this page regularly. The version in effect is the one displayed with its update date.
IsoFind is an original work developed by Colin Ferrari, who holds all intellectual property rights: source code, algorithms, geochemical databases, graphical interface, documentation, and trademarks. Any reproduction, distribution, or commercial use without written authorization is strictly prohibited.
The .isof (Isotopic Secure Open Format) exchange format is published under the MIT License. Its reference parser is freely usable, modifiable, and redistributable, including in proprietary software, provided that the original copyright notice is retained.
The isotopic signature databases integrated into IsoFind are the exclusive property of the Publisher. Their extraction, reproduction, or reuse outside of the software, even partial, is prohibited without prior written agreement.
IsoFind is 100% offline software. The Publisher does not collect, store, or transmit any data resulting from the use of the software:
This architecture is a deliberate technical constraint, not just a policy. The Publisher has no means of accessing the data processed by the software.
The Research version is provided free of charge for academic, institutional, or personal use. It cannot be used for direct commercial purposes without acquiring a Pro license.
The Pro license is assigned to a specific user and linked to an identified laboratory or professional entity. It cannot be shared, transferred, or used simultaneously on multiple workstations without prior agreement from the Publisher.
Activation keys generated by the Publisher are for single use and linked to the installation identifier. Any attempt to bypass the activation system, share, or duplicate keys will result in the immediate termination of the license without refund.
The isotopic certificate issuance feature is reserved for the Pro version. Certificates issued via IsoFind are cryptographically signed by the issuing laboratory's ECDSA key.
The user is solely responsible for the accuracy of the scientific data included in the issued certificates. The Publisher cannot be held responsible for the use made of the certificates produced by the software.
Laboratory private keys are generated and stored exclusively on the user's machine. The Publisher has no access to any private keys. In the event of loss of a private key, previously issued certificates remain valid, but it is impossible to issue new ones without regenerating a new key pair and obtaining a new certificate signed by the Publisher.
The Publisher reserves the right to revoke a laboratory certificate in case of proven fraudulent use, violation of these Terms, or upon written request from the user.
IsoFind is designed and validated to function in isolated network environments (air-gap). In air-gap mode:
isofind_tiles_world_z8.mbtiles).The user is responsible for the configuration and security of their network environment. The Publisher cannot be held responsible for security breaches resulting from incorrect configuration of the operating environment.
IsoFind is a scientific calculation tool. The implemented algorithms are derived from peer-reviewed scientific literature and rigorously tested. However, the interpretation of results and the decisions made based on them remain the exclusive responsibility of the user.
It is prohibited to use IsoFind to:
The Publisher's liability is limited to direct damages only and shall not exceed the amount paid for the license. The Publisher shall in no event be liable for indirect damages (loss of data, loss of contracts, reputational damage).
IsoFind databases are protected by AES-256-GCM encryption managed locally. Encryption keys are derived from user access credentials and are never transmitted to the Publisher.
Warning: In the event of loss of access credentials or key files, the Publisher has no technical means to recover the encrypted data. It is the user's responsibility to ensure regular backups of their data and access keys.
The Publisher strongly recommends consulting the documentation regarding backup and restoration procedures before any production use.
Software updates are made available on the isofind.tech website. Research version users benefit from updates free of charge. Pro users benefit from major updates according to the terms of their current license.
The Publisher reserves the right to evolve software features, modify its architecture, or interrupt its development with reasonable notice. In such cases, already acquired Pro licenses remain valid for the version current at the time of the announcement.
As the ISOF format is published under the MIT license, files produced by the software remain readable and verifiable independently of IsoFind's future evolution.
These Terms are subject to French law. Any dispute relating to their interpretation or application will be submitted, after an attempt at amicable resolution, to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts within the jurisdiction of the Publisher's registered office (Foix, Ariège, France).
