Hydrothermal system of the Yellowstone caldera. Palmer and Sturchio (1990): waters from -9.3 to +4.4 ‰; Norris and Upper Geyser basins, Calcite Springs and Clearwater stay close to fresh rhyolite (-5.2 ‰), Mammoth, Sheepeater and Rainbow near -8 ‰, like altered rhyolite (-9.7 ‰) or sediments outside the caldera. Cooler springs just outside the park, Bear Creek and Laduke (65 °C in the table, 63 °C in the text): low B and high δ11B, from boron uptake by secondary minerals or mixing with shallow meteoric water according to the authors.
