Drill core 7.9 m deep in bauxite (gibbsite, halloysite, kaolinite, goethite, maghemite) formed on the Sentinel Bluffs Member of the Grande Ronde Basalt; present climate 11 C and 1100 mm/yr (Liu et al., 2013). Aarons et al. (2023): Ti loss relative to Nb and delta49Ti increasing upwards, modelled by Rayleigh distillation; 5/1-14 (-0.136 ‰) off the trend, perhaps because of anatase or Ti-rich ilmenite. The paper places the profile in Washington State in the text and in Oregon in the conclusions.
