Highland sands groundwater around the orebody (1970s)

Wyoming, Converse County, southern Powder River Basin, United States

Groundwater

Type
Groundwater

Updip-downdip profile across the Highland mine orebody, before in situ recovery mining: one U-rich updip well near equilibrium, five wells at the ore with excess 234U and lower U, and one well about 5 km downdip, outside the Highland sands but fed by water that crossed the ore, with the highest ratio (Cowart and Osmond, 1977). Coordinates not published.
