Groundwater
- Type
- Groundwater
Xikuangshan antimony mine (Hunan), the world's largest: waters of the Feishuiyan stream, aquifer springs and wells and Shetianqiao adits, all alkaline (pH 6.8 to 8.9) and very Sb-rich (up to 47 mg/L). δ123Sb of -0.20 to +0.73 ‰ (Spex lot CL8-06SBY): oxidative weathering of stibnite, waste heaps and slags, adsorption onto Fe-Mn oxyhydroxides and mixing (Wen et al., 2023). Coordinates not published. Springs of aquifer A (ore-hosting) and aquifer B, and waters from barren strata between Xikuangshan and Shetianqiao; δ123Sb of -0.08 to +0.73 ‰, unrelated to Sb content.
