Western East Kunlun Orogenic Belt, Altyn Tagh fault system, China
Other hydrothermalSb
- Type
- Vein and disseminated antimony in silicified rocks (orogenic)
Largest identified antimony deposit in the western East Kunlun: 79,200 t Sb at 8.26 %, in turbidites of the Huangyangling Formation (Middle Permian) and the Wolonggang Formation (Upper Triassic). Stibnite with minor pyrite, chalcopyrite, realgar and orpiment, in silicified rocks. Gong et al. (2026): fluid inclusions at 139 to 255 °C and 2.7 to 8.7 wt% NaCl eq.; water with δD of -121.5 to -111.6 ‰ and δ18O of -2.3 to +2.7 ‰ (magmatic or metamorphic water strongly mixed with meteoric water); stage I pyrite at -1.28 to +0.63 ‰, stage II stibnite at +1.63 to +2.79 ‰ (apparent H2S of +5.1 to +6.3 ‰). Coordinates not published.
